I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, IS IT SAFE TO TAKE POWER FROM A SOCKET INTO A 13A SWITCHED SOCKET, THEN RUN ARMOUR PLATED CABLE TO MY SHED TO RUN A LIGHT AND POWER TOOLS
Please turn off caps lock as it makes your post hard to read.
You can run a spur from a ring socket circuit, if you are putting anything more than a socket on it then it should be connected to a fused spur unit with a 13A fuse. If you need much more then putting it on its own feed from the consumer unit may be more viable. You need local isolation in the shed to switch off power to all circuits. This can be done by having another consumer unit in the shed or an adequately rated DP switch.
Socket outlets need to be RCD protected. This work is notifiable to LABC under part p of the building regs.
