electric shower fitted in wetroom

No problem (provided it is installed correctly) - why would a wetroom make any difference compared to over a bath, or in a shower cubicle.
If you dont trust this man, why are you letting him do electrical work in your home, in a location where you will eventually be naked and wet? You cannot afford to have his work done badly. Electricity has no prejudices.
Get a certificate for the work an electrician does in your home. If he says it doesnt need one, dont pay him.
