Hi, we have a Gainsborough electric shower, reasonably new say 2 years old or so. It seems to be going hot & cold ALL the time - 30 seconds of each roughly. Before it goes cold, there's a click in the shower unit, so I don't know if it's perhaps the thermostat or something? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you :)

Do you have any instructions, or a user manual? If not, try and get it from internet. Isolate power to the shower via circuit breaker, unscrew front cover of the shower unit and hopefully there'll be a limescale trap. Empty this. Also, unscrew hose from showerhead and turn it upside down. Does loads of carp come out?

you've got poor flow through the shower which which is causing the water to get to hot then the click is the tco activating then it will go cold.

try without the showerhead on first. see if it still cycles
Gainsboroughs don't have a scale trap only a filter on the inlet pipe to the shower.
make sure you have any stopcock or iso valves fully open.
