Hello all,
I am getting a few alterations made, and while I've got an electrician in, he's going to tidy up the wiring for my electric shower. (It was a bit of a botch job by the previous homeowner.)
As part of this, a new isolator is going to be fitted. The old isolator was a pull string, which I have always turned off while the shower is in use. (When I was younger, we had a shower that nearly melted...)
The electrician has suggested fitting a new isolator switch above the door as there is limited space in a <1 m2 corridor between kitchen/bathroom/cupboard/garden.
Is it suitable to have a switch in this location, which would in effect always be left turned on? Or should it be more accessible so can still be turned on/off by the shorter folk among us?
Thanks,
Shaun
