Electric shower water pulses (on,off,on,off etc)

Hi,

We have an Electric shower (made by NewTeam i think) that seems to be having a power/pressure issue...

I will have a go explaining this..:

We switch on the switch outside the bathroom, then switch on the shower. The waterflow from the shower pulses on and off, on and off etc. While this is going on, the Low Pressure light goes on and off etc. this eventually stops and the waterflow becomes steady. While it's pulsing the all the lights throughout the flat dim a little as it pulls power.

Can anyone highlight what may be the problem (we have noticed no change in the water pressure)

i would check the power to the shower first see if thats pulsing.
if it is its a power/isolator issue not the shower
