I'm planning to install an electric shower above my bath. I'm using the 15mm bendy plastic tubing and push-on joints and intend tapping into the rising main near the header tank in the roof space. Seems straightforward using these materials, any pitfalls to watch for, any tips?

You'll need to install a 45amp isolator pull cord switch for the electrical connection. this should be located away from the shower and it should be physically imposible to touch isolator whilst touching the shower with the other hand. The shower should be supplied by a dedicated mcb and you would also be advised to include RCD protection. strongly advise you call an electrician! Also if the shower is not fixed, i.e on a hose that can touch the bath, you will be required to fit a double check valve to your plumbing connection.
