Hi,
I am new in this country so not sure if using right terminology.

I had turned off main electric supply of boiler and heating system from last one month due to summers ;). Yesterday when I turned on electric supply of boiler and heating system, there was electric spark from top of immersion rod of water boiler tank. I turned off main supply and tuned on again, it happened again. But not third time! Does any one knows why this happened? Could it be because of moisture around electric fittings on immersion rod?

Any help or suggestions are highly appreciated.

Many Thanks
Pryank

There's something wrong!
After that, we're guessing. :( Leave it off and call a plumber.

Electrician would be better.

Flex needs checking whether it is heat rated probably needs cuting back and refittting contacts need cleaning or new parts required.

Main risk if not checked properly fire secondary risk electric shock certain ultimate outcome no hot water.
