I have a failed KBB/E electronic fire check valve on a oil fired CH system. The distance from the boiler to the tank is about 30m. The cabling between the boiler sensor and the shut off valve was put in when the house was converted from a barn and i cant get a route for a capillary type shut off valve. Anyone know if there is another electronic/electric valve - the KBB/E was discontinued about 10 years ago !

Never seen an electronic one. You don't have to have the fire valve by the tank, it can go at the boiler end of the pipework. Normally fitted outside the property but a working fire valve fitted indoors is infinitely better than no fire valve at all
