emersion Vs boiler

Is it cheaper to use the emersion heater in summer rather than use the (oil) boiler when the heating is off. Oil prices have shot up and I find using the emersion for 45 minutes on the timer in the morning is sufficient.

how much is your electric?

1st 155 kWh at 12.059 pence then
6.250 pence so I guess the emersion would be at 6.25.
Course the boiler option uses electricity as well as oil.

what supplier is charging 6 odd p a KWH?

i'd guess the elec would be the cheaper option, there won't be much in it anyway.
