Hi,

About to purchase 30m2 of one of the above to fit myself in our lounge/ diner and wood like some advice as to which is the best for my floor.

The floor is solid sound concrete covered in vinyl tiles.

Wood someone please be kind enough to point out the pro's and con's of each, as to ease of fitting, wear rates, after care etc etc. And any tips of what to and not to do.

Many thanks in advance.

We've written a little article on the very subject last year.
If that's not enough to make up your mind, do come back and we'll talk some more

Thanks for that.

Looks like it's gonna be Engineered then.

When laying this type of flooring am I right in presuming that its the same principle as laying laminated flooring, but with glueing and clamping.

And what underlay is best on vinyl tiles - the green fibre boards or the white foam stuff. (sorry about the terminology  )

Yes, glueing the T&G (same as floating installation of solid also).

On vinyl tiles use an underlayment that has a DPM and sound-insulation (foam) in it, the DPM will prevent sweating moist of the tiles getting into the wood.
