was anyone out and about this afternoon?

i unfortunatly had to go barrow in furness today, took me 2 hours 45 mins to get there this morning i left at 6 (from leicester) left there this afternoon at 145 and walked in my door at 8 it was mental, had to get off m6 due to idiots crashing and the tailbacks were up to j22 (i got off at 24, went m62 and thought it would be nice to go A6 through, no such luck m62 packed out and A6 jammed most of way, if it wasnt gas works it was tractors / lorries


jees youwouldnt believe how happy i was when m1 was clearish.....

forget a return trip to there!

yeah it was a rip out for an insurance company i do the odd job for, happened to be braggin about my long weekend this one, so they say can you nip.... nip up? its 200 odd miles door to door

and nothing wrong with "barra" its actually a beautiful place, just too far to be peeing around on a friday in traffic.... lesson learned!

I came back from Rotherham -> Stockport this afternoon and while not as far, the journey was just as much a pig.

I think while the hols are on & there seems to be less traffic, the utilities are having a whale of a time.

Also went to S10... Every turn I took there was a road closed & the satnav did its best to find an alternative route, but at every corner there was another closed road....

i thought the drive up to and around there was very nice, seems im not gonna win with you!!



oh yeah when coming through on the A6 my satnav did its best to get me lost, took me off the main road onto another going through the dales, then onto single track roads, some detour! although i have seen places yesterday i wouldnt have ever seen probably!!!
