Hi all,
I’ve recently had a garden room installed by a (currently) unnamed supplier in the London area. They’ve installed a 5x3m epdm roof without gluing it down and have folded the edges under the overhang of the roof and stapled it to the osb panelling to secure it.
They insist that is common practice on the 3000 rooms they have built but when I was looking at DIY options, all literature stated that it needed to be glued to the top of the roof and smoothed with a broom to ensure good contact. Has this guidance changed?
The roof has ripples during the day when the heat increases and pulls taut during the evening. Im concerned this will lead to premature wear.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Ben
