I have an extension, including garage and en suite bathroom, whose roof is leaking. Although slated, it has a very slight slope of less than 15 degrees. I realise that slates are unsuitable for such a shallow slope, but it has been like that since well before we bought the house. Needless to say, it is leaking and the leak is getting worse.
I had thought about having the slates replaced with boarding and EPDM covering. The problem is that there is a combi boiler flue in the middle of the roof. Would the heat from this melt the EPDM?
