on lifting a section of floor to replace some broken chipboard I have some eps beads (similar to what is used in cavity wall insulation). All seems fine and it's doing it's job. There is a rough concrete sub floor very uneven and then a 80mm high frame with chipboard on top, so I guess the eps beads were used to avoid leaving gaps/voids
I also have a gap round the side of the walls so wanted to top up and add some in there and top up what's settled under the floor.
There are NO cables under there...
Should there be a vapour barrier sheet over the beads before the chipboard flooring is used and has anyone come across eps beads in the floor.
What are the views on eps beads in the floor void?
thanks
