epson v 500 scanner

i have a epson v 500 scanner i bought it to copy slides after i scan slides all i have is holder for holding slides and slide scaned how do i see what is on slide am i doing something wrong

Cannot offer any personal advice for this, 'cos I have never had an Epson, but do you have the user manual?

Looking at it, it does offer different advice for scanning slides using different methods, ie. scanner buttons, computer controls etc.

You cannot see what is on the slide without scanning it to file & saving it as a jpeg then viewing with whichever prog you decide to use.(You can't with the Epson 1260 anyway) Or am I misunderstanding the question?
