Error 7 on Hoover OPH 714 d

I purchased the Hoover OPH 714 D just over 16 months ago, I now have a error 7 fault showing on the display, I was hopeing that somebody might have come across this fault .On reading the instruction book it seems that the only thing I can do is to contact Hoover, in their dreams,

I don't think error code 7 is specific, I think you are going to need a technical diagnosis.

But first, try spinning the drum by hand, if you can't then either the motor is jammed or the drum is.

Does the machine do anything when switched on ie. door lock, draim pump operate etc.

Does the error come up right away or after a few seconds.

The only E7 error code I know for Hoover machines is to do with the motor circuit/tacho fault

With that in mind check motor brushes, wiring to motor and PCB's.

Never hurts to check the drain pump/filter either for blockages.
