Error

I've just installed a Teletubbies cd on my system but when I try to play it I get the error message 'runtime error 53, file not found'.

Anyone know what is going on as it seems to have installed ok.

Running Windows XP on a 2800 speed Dell machine with 512 ram.

It may be that some supporting files are missing or are not installed.

What are the games minimum requirements with respect to things like Java, DirectX etc.?

It needs the following to run

• A multimedia PC with Pentium P100 processor and 16MB of RAM
• Quad-speed CD-ROM drive
• High-colour (16-bit) display
• Sound Blaster 16 sound card (or 100% compatible)
• Suitable loudspeakers or headphones
• Mouse or other pointing device
• Windows® 95 or 98

Can't see why it won't play

Have uninstalled and reinstalled it by the way.

It needs DirectX 9 runtime files. Do you know which version you have and is your graphic card compatible? You can try downloading them from here

Click start/all programs/accessories/system tools/system information.

Then open up components, then display, this will show which graphics card you have.

Error 53 is a network name not found thingy. Very helpful.

Error 53 means the following....

"File required by the program to run is not found. Program needs to be reinstalled or missing file(s) need to be copied back to the computer."

Firstly, check if their are any updates or patches you can download for this game.
Secondly, uninstall the game ( start/control panel/ add and remove programs) then reinstall it.

Uninstalled the program and reinstalled it but still no joy and the same error message is still coming up

Try installing the latest version of this...
