I’ve recently bought a place which has a detached double garage.
I’d like to convert this into habitable space e.g. a games room or cinema room or something but after Googling I’ve no idea what the expected costs would be and I don’t want to waste anyone’s time asking for quotes as I’m not ready to go ahead just now.
The garage is roughly 6m by 6.3m. I’d be looking for someone to remove the two garage doors and replace with windows, install a new suspended floor, plasterboard the walls and ceiling, replace the existing windows with new ones, replace the side door with a new PVC one and then finish off with new skirting boards etc.
Does anyone have any ballpark figures that such a job would cost?
