Bojo played a blinder. He will sweep up the wavering hard right Tories who were considering defecting to the Brexit party, he will keep the majority of Tory voters who wanted to leave. All he has calculated correctly is that most Remainer Tory voters will not swap to Labour because of Corbyn and probably waste their vote casting it to the Lib Dems. Push comes to shove many Tory staunch remainers will still put party over country.

Bojo has an excellent chance of winning the next GE as Labour under Corbyn believe that sitting on the fence or trying to find compromise is the route to success it is not.

Brexit will have saved the Tory party, it's simply a new more right hard wing party than before. I long for the days of Major. But let's be honest, since 1979 when Thatcher gained power we have always had a right of centre Government, Blair Labour was right of the centre but not as right as the Tory party. Cameron sold compassionate conservatism but was more of an idealogue than he made out. The current incarnation has pushed the party and country further to the right.

We are now in the realms of the US where the Reps and Dems have no common ground.
