Hi all
Recently installed an Euro 46 V10 panel. As I was renovating a house I decided to wire all sensors initially.
Hopefully In the near future I will be building a garage but the only downside is the length of the garden. I have been told the garden is 127Ft not measured it myself s of yet (20 fence panels).
My alarm panel is placed in the loft and I was thinking of installing a wireless module (EURO ZEM32-WE) to save me running wire up to the garage. The specs for the wireless module says 1.6km transmission range in open space. I understand as soon as you start adding walls in the equation then the signal does start to reduce.
What are your experiences with this type of distance and sensor signal strength ? Do you think this is a feasible option for me?
If I was to go ahead and install the wireless unit, would I have to power down the alarm completely? If so how would you go about doing this? Would I enter engineer mode, turn main power off, then unplug battery, wire in unit to D1-D4 and then turn back on ?
