I've just replaced the door handles on 3 of my doors with Mila ProSecure handles.
When coming to do the last one which is a composite door, I've found that a cylinder guard is fitted, I don't know exactly what make or model it is but something like this:
https://uapcorporate.com/product/uap-cylinder-guard/
I'm unable to fit the ProSecure handles with the cylinder guard in place.
Given the handles I'm fitting are UAP 2* rated I'm assuming that matches or exceeds the rating on the cylinder guard, so I should be ok just to remove it and fit the handles? Does it matter that this will leave a rather significant gap around the cylinder once it's been removed?
