Euro lock door handle - sprung or unsprung?

I have a pair of timber French doors to fit. They have multi-point bolts fitted, and I was advised by the seller some time ago that I needed Euro lock door handles that were, among other things, sprung. I'm struggling to find black traditional style handles that aren't unsprung. Can I use unsprung handles, and what would happen if I did?

Assuming this would result in droopy handles, can anyone point me to something vaguely antique and cottagy looking with springs - 92mm centres, long?

Cheers
Richard

Unfortunately it would be visible with that type of handle, you do actually need a proper sprung handle then for the reasons you've already stated

OK, thanks again. Do such things come in a traditional style then? I'm blowed if I can find anything on the internet. The seller of the doors (with whom I'm no longer in touch) told me I need "lever long 92mm", and gave this as an example:

The ones in the link are all modern handles which you can buy anywhere, if you prefer something more traditional then you might struggle but I will ask around tomorrow on my travels

That would be enormously helpful, thank you.

Most hand forged cast iron handles do seem to be unsprung. Your locking mech will most likely be sprung though so its not going to be too bad just a little less resistance.
If you want to save some money and get a tester I have used these on a few doors now and they are an absolute bargain! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Cast-Iron-Heavy-Duty-Handles-for-UPVC-Aluminium-Doors/261963698795?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid=222007&algo=SIC.MBE&ao=1&asc=32334&meid=5150be3d8c7641bc9fd17850710d6d2b&pid=100011&rk=1&rkt=8&sd=261923524263
Thank you - it's worth taking a punt on those to see what happens.
