European to UK waste connection

I'm trying to connect the supplied 50mm combined waste/overflow for a Duravit bath, (see attached image) to my 42mm solvent weld waste pipework.

I don't what the diameter of the bath waste pipe before the 50mm end socket is and I'm not sure if the plastic is suitable for solvent weld.

Can anyone suggest a secure way to connect these two pipe sizes that won't leak, given it will be installed behind a tiled bath panel?

Discard the end bit, keeping the compression nut, ring and washer. You should find you're good to go in 40mm.

Alternatively saw off the 50mm trumpet and use a compression waste coupling on the stub.
