I have a eurosec burglar alarm. The only info i have on it is a number on the keypad which is pr4970, rev 1.1. It has a very annoying door alert chime every time the front door is opened. It drives me up the wall and I have been putting up with it for years. Can anyone help please by telling me how to deactivate this?

The alert you mention is called a CHIME , and can be dissabled by the user , but the method is different depending on whether you have a LED (red display info) or LCD (text screen).Once you know what keypad you have , search for the user guide..its freely available.
