existing Bathroom wall light

OK, my bathroom wall fitting is above the mirror (6.6 from floor level) I have my eye on an illuminated mirror (450 x 600)...I thought I'd call the retailer to enquire where precisely the fitting sat on the back of the mirror so that I wouldnt need a step ladder to see myself. Apparently it sits in the middle just off centre (300) doh! So, my query is, if I order this (cool) mirror, will an electrician be able to 'lengthen' the cable so that it sits in the right position. God I hope this makes sense! Thankyou in advance

PS. It wont be anywhere near water!
