The joints in my bathroom floor are coming apart in small areas - its not in the wet room shower area but am worried it will worsen. Is there a waterproof grout or glue suitable for sealing these areas please? I don't know what the floor is made of - it looks like a hard upvc type. I am in my eighties but can manage small diy jobs myself.

Do you think it might be vinyl flooring?

The joints in bathrooms are often sealed with white silicone rubber sealant, usually applied with a "gun" which extrudes it through a nozzle.

Does the old stuff have a rubbery feel?

Thanks for reply JohnD - no its very hard - not rubbery at all - it goes a little way up the walls and, fortunately all the joints there are ok.

If not rubbery, that might be why it cracked.

There is a caulk, that is cheaper but not as good.

Silicone sealant is very good.

That flooring is joined using a heat gun that welds a joint strip. It may glue do and seal with a decent sealer / adhesive ,try warmin with a hairdryer t soften it.
