I have a 'bond-it' gun that I've used once (worked very well). However I just put a new can on it and... nothing but a dribble comes out of the gun. I've cleaned it and held up to the light - I can see all the way down the barrel so that part is not blocked.

As a last resort, I unscrewed the new can of foam from the gun. I expected the foam to come squirting out of the can at full force, but hardly any sign of life from the can.

Does this mean my gun is not piercing the can's valve? I had it screwed it on as tight as possible...

foam can go off what date is on it and has it been stored well above freezing
did you invert the gun and clean it out after each use ??

I left it for ten minutes, came back and it was working! I had used acetone on the gun, maybe it was soaking through a blockage at the valve... I guess that's why you recommend inverting to clean? So it soaks this area? Or to blow aerosol through it rather than foam?

I was surprised I could unscrew the full can from the gun and it didn't spray.

Anyway, it worked and I have sealed some drafts in my house, mmmm.

make sure you screw the adjuster right in when youre not using it, this will prevent the gun blocking up
