Can one of you experts explain this anomaly please.
I had reason to up in my friend's loft today and thought the vapour I saw was coming from my breath because it was so cold. However it turned to be coming from the expansion pipe which was overhanging the expansion tank. Water from the expansion pipe was flowing freely into the expansion tank. The roof boards were saturated with condensation and black suggesting this has been going on for a long time.
The property is heated by an oil boiler.
I can't get my head round this. Please advise.
