Changed a rad in bathroom for a towel rad. Expansion tank keeps filling via 22mm pipe when hw and ch is turned on, any ideas please?

Probs blocked between cold feed and vent pipe

I presume this was not happenning before and that you mean the vent pipe is from where the overflow is coming into the expansion tank?
If the system refilled OK after draining, it is not likely to be a blocked fill pipe.If the pump has variable settings, try reducing it.

everything works okay as normal after bleeding. Apart from the expansion tank. Not sure if pump is separate from boiler.
