Extend Dishwasher Compression Join

My dishwasher compression joint, doesn't allow the hose to be fully tightened because the thread is kinda short I guess and then the plastic on the hose gets in the way of flicking the blue switch up vertically.

I planned to get around this by extending the compression joint - which I know is a male end, and the dishwasher hose are female ends.

However it's unclear what type of adapter I need - I see places like Screwfix has female and male adapter - but that seems like both ends are either female or male........

Anyone know what I need pls?

3/4 tap tail extension . This is 3/4 female one end ,and 3/4 male the other end.
Or change your filling hose.
Or fit a much thicker washer.
