Extension lead for w/m + t/dryer

Hi
I need to run a small extension lead to supply the washing machine & tumble dryer temporarily.The total rating is 4900w.What amps will this draw so I can find a small extension lead with the correct rating

you won't find one. that's about 25 amps! 13 is the max for a standard plug.

Why not get two 13amp ones one for the tumble dryer and one for the washing machine.

Remember also that really you shouldn't plug both applicances into a double socket, it should be two singles, due to current draw considerations.
 
It works out about 21 amps Amps=Watts/Volts. Since the highest rating extension lead you can get will be 13amps the answer should be don't do it. In practice you will be fine as long as you don't run both machines at once.

No good on a rainy day then!, just when you really need to use the tumble dryer :D
