Extension radiator tail parallel thread.

I have a couple of rads that are going to get covers hence I need the trv to be outside the cover.
This then needs a elongated tail. The 2 I have bought have parallel threads as opposed to the normal tapered thread. I use Loctite 577 on tails but on these 2 parallel treads there is movement after having wound fully in. A mix of 577 with 55 tape perhaps?

Just Loctite 55

Put enough on so that you meet firm resistance before fully wound in.

I am not a plumber but Loctite 55 has helped me on many occasions.

I might go for a belt and braces 577 with 55 as well. Normally 577 is good to go on its own but it is the thread being parallel which is the problem.
