Hello,

We are planning an extension 9m by 4m (extending out 4m). There is a large sycamore tree that will be right near the boundary, less than 1m. From what I understand this means the foundations will need to be 1.8m down. We will also need to move our drains because they will be under the extended area.

I was wondering if the drains would also affect the foundation depth? Would the tree need to be cut down if the drains are moved nearer the tree?
