When using exterior masonry paint and interior emulsion paint and you are advised to water them down slightly do you need to water the paint down the next day also if you don't get the job finished and you are using the same tin of paint, or only need to water down the once.

If you mix up some cordial one day and don't drink it all - do you need to add more water the next?

Well all paints will thicken after time, yet if you have thinned your paint and intend to use it the following day a good stir should be all that is required.
