I'm considering rendering the back exterior of my house and having it painted in a sandstone colour.
There are bare facing bricks showing must be over a 100 years of grime with black motar, Both neigbouring houses have tidy bare cemented walls.
I was thinking in terms of avoiding having to paint again after 4 years on a traditional cement render. By using resin or liquid plastic based render/coating.
These new coatings are available by these National companies they simply spray on these coats in the colours of your choice.
They claim they give 15 years protection at the costing in the region of
£2000 for a full house.
WEATHER- PROOF EXTERIOR COATING are they all what they are cracked up to be.
Is there an alternative DIY product that will render the walls without the need to paint at the same time?
This sound too good to be true. What apeals to me is that you only have to render once and you dont need to paint.
