Hello all,

A novice looking for some help and guidance... got a flaking/uneven ugly exterior wall - what do I potentially use to make it look better/fix it? Or what trade am I looking for to do this job? Told you I was a novice!

Also, around the bottom of the wall where the drive meets the house, I'm guessing I'm missing some kind of sealant going round?

Any help much appreciated

OP,
Most any Handyman could do what's needed.
1. The paving appears to be too tight to the wall - not much you can do about it now except to clean out any plant growth and dirt. You could use a construction standard sealant - gun cartridge it in.
2. The render is in ground contact - there should always be a break gap to prevent ground contact.
3. The DPC has been bridged by the render. The render should stop just above the DPC.
4. If you have a metal angle bead on the corner then maybe its rusting & swelling - a crack can be seen.
5. If you decide to leave things as they are then hacking off all damaged render so it can then be patched with a small mix of fresh render.
FWIW: All, or most all, the paving joins need raking out & re-doing.
