External 2-gang socket, one side not working.

Can anyone suggest why; and what to do to fix it. Never seen such a thing before (in internal sockets)- do the externals have any kind of cutout or internal fuse, for example? Thanks

PS, it was working up to this morning.

Most likely the switch on that side has failed.
There is no repair. Replacement of the whole thing is the only option.

It's unlikely, but some of the early outside double sockets consisted of two small single socket modules, if you have that particular arrangement it could be a loose wire.

Send a picture of your socket for more advice.
