Hello
I have just finished patching up a number of hairline cracks in the external render at the back of our house. It is a painted, pebble-dashed render, which is painted a cream colour. It was like this when we bought the house, so I dont have the exact paint, but I think I need to repaint the whole wall at some point in the near future anyway, so i'm not too bothered at the moment about it looking a little scruffy.
But what I am a little worried about is having exposed render that is unpainted or unsealed.
Can someone recommend if I need some kind of covering/waterproof sealant to paint over the patched-up render? Or is painting with external paint sufficient?
I have used a bog standard sand/cement render for the repairs.
Many thanks
Tom
