Hi all, first time posting and after some advice. Have moved into a property and the wall in one of the bedrooms is wet coming up from the skirting boards.

Water is getting in somehow, I just wondered if it's a easy fix and once the leak is found what do I do with the wall, let it dry out ?

There is a drip coming through the guttering down to the ground.

OP,
The fitting needs removing, and cleaning. Change the seals while you are at it.
Is the gutter blocked - vegetation of some sort can be seen. In the gutter or on the roof?
If the gutter is blocked then clean it out & water test it with a hose.
Daylight can be seen in a gap between the gutter & the fascia - this is wrong, felt lapping over the gutter should cover that gap.
From the window, a selfie on a batten pic looking down into the gutter would show more.

Where on the external pic, is the damp on the other side? I assume you're referring to an upstairs room as you say 'bedroom'?

It looks like there is damp around and above the porch roof, as if water is falling on it and splashing up.

The porch does not appear to have a gutter or downpipe.

The house appears to have a cavity wall so water would not normally pass to the internal leaf, depending on porch construction.

The damp patch on the inside wall is very localised, as if there is a single leak or place of entry, but I can't see a pipe or hole. Does a cable or something pass through the wall at that point?

Is it below a window?

Stand back and take a wider pic of the entire internal wall please.

There appears to be a boiler below. Are any pipes in the wall?
