External Weatherproof Socket

I want to fit a weatherproof (IP56/IP66) mains socket on an outside wall to enable ocassional mains power to be connected to a motorhome and/or external mains powered equipment.

I intend connecting it to a spare FSU mounted on the internal wall.

The existing FSU is supplied from the consumer unit, which has an RCD fitted.

The motorhome has a small consumer unit, which is also fitted with an RCD.

My question is: should the new external socket have its own RCD, or should it be a non-RCD type.

No need for another RCD. Depending how visible the outside socket will be consider getting a lockable one, or put it ina alockable box so your neighbours don't get to mow their lawns for free

I'd have thought that you could turn this off to stop the local foxes plugging in their iPhone chargers while you are asleep.
