Hi all

I'm a spark, so please forgive my ignorance!

I'm (on instruction from my better half) investigating the possibility of moving our washing machine and tumble drier from the kitchen to the front porch.

I'm looking into the implications of T-ing off the drain and supply that runs through the garden, rather than having to run the supply internally from the stopcock. The stopcock and all the other plumbing is at the other end of the house to the porch but the drain and supply passes reasonably close to the desired new location.

-> Is it just a case of isolating the supply, fitting a T-piece, running 25mm MDPE pipe in a 75cm sand bottomed trench then through the wall/floor to a new stopcock?

-> Can I T-off the drain too?

-> Do I need persmission from the council or Water Board?

-> I'll have to get through a concrete path, through/under a concrete wall and through a concrete floor. Any advice?

By the way, I'm aware of the implications of pipes and appliances freezing but the porch doesn't get too cold.

Thanks in advance!
