Extractor Fan on pull switch dimmer

Chaps, I have checked all the connections and all is fine.

The bathroom extractor is on a pull dimmer switch, is there any reason why the fan would not work.

Help very much appreciated

Is it a dimmer pull switch with a proper switched output for a fan, or is the fan connected to the dimmed output?

Is it a timer or standard fan?

Hi Rob, it's a timer fan on a pull dimmer connected at the first light throu a triple pole isolator!!

The switch has no switch out put

That's why it doesn't work. It's been cooked because it's not meant to be on a dimmer. Incidentally, where have you picked up the permanent live from?

Permanent live from the feed in at the light, cheers for that just realised my fau pas what an egit!!!
