Can anyone tell me if there are any Regs that say you need an extractor fan in a bathroom?

Im doing ours up just now and the parents would like rid of the extractor fan and its rubbish and weve got a fully openable window anyway.

No bath in the room but there is a shower/sink/toiler if it make any difference?

cheers

Regulations state that a bathroom must be adequately ventilated, and that regs now stipulate that bathrooms must have an extractor fan fitted.

I believe you do for new installations under Building Control.

Best to have one anyway to get rid of condensation. :D

AFAIK
Building regs guide
Not sure if applies to where you are though
There is a minimum amount of air change recomended for the room depending on size of room
And maybe also if isolation switch required

Electrical regs
Dictates, what voltage fan or whether it needs RCD protection, is allowed for relevant zone of room.
