Extractor Wall Kit

I installed 3 meters of ducting before the wall kit - https://www.toolstation.com/wall-kit/p83154

The extractor fan comes with a back draft protection, but i wanted to ask if I should have got a external wall grill that closes or is this good enough for the kitchen extractor.

Get an external shuttered grill. It will reduce the likelihood of wasps/etc building a nest in the pipe. Also helps to keep the rain out.
