I'm no follower of F1 these days, lost blind interest in it 10-15 years back, much better motor sport out there to view. However I noticed recently the 2018 cars look increasingly more gash than even the ones last year.
It would seem the teams can't get thick enough cotton wool in which to wrap the drivers, so now they're required to go for a hard engineered solution - "The Halo". What a load of twaddle. From a markerting perspective, the cars look really really daft. From a safety perspective, it guards against one particular type of hazard. At the expense if the car flips over, or is on fire the driver is massively restricted in being pulled out alive. As per the title - What the deuce.
