Currently live in a ground floor flat with floorboards above for 1st floor flat, get alot of impact and sound noise so wanted to install a fake ceiling.
As live in flat and dont want to rip ceiling down to install ties etc was going to make up wooden frames like partie walls and fix to underside of ceiling, will leave a small gap so not in contact with current ceiling and then fix to walls then install downlighters and board up
would this be okay with regard to builing regs as ceiling is not that high and would i see improved noise reduction.
