False alarms

I have a Veritas Alarm System which over the past 18 months has gone off for no apparant reason when not set, tamper red light comes on.

It has just happened and it seems it is triggered by either a very, very brief powercut or spike, because today my computer was reset and the oven timer now needs resetting, but our alarm clock and micro wave seems to have been OK.

Any ideas of how to overcome this.

No idea, we moved here two and a half years ago.

Replacing the panel battery would be a good place to start, although they are rechargeable they only last 3 to 5 years.
