False rape allegations....

This was in our local rag last week, and regardless of her claiming she was a mentalist she only got 18 months, out in 9 then. If she'd pulled it off and got the poor innocent bloke convicted how long would he have got? 7-10 yrs? I dunno? A lot longer than 18 months that's for sure.
Daft bint should have been locked up for the time he would have got had he been imprisoned, especially for the distress caused....

This could have led to him being dumped by his partner, and lose contact with his baby. Moreover, once in prison the other inmates may have made his life a living hell. There are so many further repercussions that could have happened and as such the daft crazy bint should be locked up until such time as she is fully recovered from being so stupid and selfish.

Happened to a mate I worked with many years ago, except he was found guilty at the time. Only 6 months later the accuser , accused yet another man of raping her (third time in about a year). After further investigation by the local plods, it turns out she was a serial accuser.(going back several years before, when she lived in a different part of the country) Mates conviction was overturned as being unsafe, but he couldn't get his job back and didn't get another job for a couple of years. The woman involved didn't even get community service, but got a fine and recommended for a social report etc.

The other aspect of this is that when allegations are made and the bloke is charged, his name becomes public. I think the name of the accuser should be too. If the reasons given for making the blokes name and description public are to see if anyone else comes forward etc then this again works both ways- maybe other men might have come forward to tell the police she lives in fantasy island and is nuts, might have got to the truth sooner.
It's very unfortunate but shight sticks, and this bloke will be tarnished regardless of the case collapsing.
A few years ago a lassie in Fife was caught in the act being pumped by a new guy, caught by her regular boyfriend who walked in on them, she then started screaming that she was being raped and the police were involved and he was charged, his name made public, humiliated and harrassed by interviews/interrogations etc and by medical tests etc.... and she finally admitted she made it up when she realised just how seriously it was going and that he was going to get jailed....Innocent until proven guilty just doesn't get a look in when it's rape allegations eh?
Wonder how many blokes would go near a girl who'd been done for this type of crime? They'd all run a mile and rightly so!

You are quite correct ABC. If they allow the supposed perpetrators name to be made public, then they should also release the name of the accuser.. Or, perhaps more acceptable, keep all names of those involved private. Police should also keep a record of rape accusers on the police national database so they can see if they have accused others before in other areas.
As you say originally though, these women who falsely accuse men of rape, should receive no less a sentence than actual rapists. As well as being charged with wasting police time and resources.
Dangerous women like these are reason enough to send any decent bloke celibate.

Mind you, the story (one of Aesop's fables, in case anyone's actually interested ) about crying wolf springs to mind. Thus nutters like these could actually end up putting themselves in danger if nobody eventually believes them.

The saddest part about this is that the plight of genuine rape victims is only made more difficult by the actions of these few women.

There are thousands of rape victims who endure this horrific crime having been too frightened to talk to the police for fear of being called a liar. Often the only witnesses are the victim and the rapist.

Rapists, paedophiles and serious sex offenders should be castrated.

And don't forget that many victims of rape are men, and think what miniscule amount of that gets reported?(most women on TV talking about rape issues never even acknowledge this either, like they never do about men getting breast cancer too....and most men know where breasts are but most women think prostate means lying down!)
