Hi

I have a competent DIY'er e.g. floor/wall tiling, plumbing, small electrical jobs, wood working (built my own kitchen island, skirting and architrave, wall paneling) painting and wall papering.

My house has timber fascias with the cement board as soffits, how difficult would it be to replace all with PVC and dry verge?

I understand the box ends would probably be the most tricky part?

Thanks

The difficulty is working at height handling 5m lengths of upvc facing and soffit board. With a bit of planning, care and decent access it is all doable for a competent diyer. Mind the eave trays. The box ends or boots as we call them are quite straightforward.

Easy DIY, if you plan the operation carefully. I mostly managed off a single ladder, fitting hooks and using rope to pull the far end of the 5m lengths up. I fitted fascias, soffits, vents, finally gutter and downpipes, front and rear. It took two or three days.

Brilliant Harry do you have any pictures of you doing it?
