Hi
Just after some advice on a 1930 semi, just removed the old gutters (cast iron) which were attached to the eaves, the house has no fascia boards or soffits, so just considering fitting these before the scaffolding is removed.
My question is that if I fit facia boards that are 18mm (9mm are ok for capping existing so not an option) onto the eaves then the guttering will be 18mm further away from the bottom row of slates than it was, which might potentially allow water behind the gutter.
Roof has no sarking felt but is sound condition.
Is there a simple way around this or is it a case of stripping roof tiles to extend, any advice much appreciated
Many thanks
